Do You Qualify for the RCMP Harassment and Discrimination Settlement?
Thousands of current and former RCMP members experienced workplace harassment or discrimination and may be entitled to compensation. Understanding whether you qualify is the first and most important step.
The settlement applies to individuals who served as regular members, civilian members, or reservists with the RCMP and experienced harassment, bullying, or discrimination during their service. The conduct in question must have occurred on or before the settlement's cut-off date and must have taken place within a workplace context connected to the RCMP.
Core Eligibility Requirements
- You are a current or former RCMP member, civilian member, or reservist
- You experienced harassment, discrimination, or bullying in the workplace
- The conduct occurred during your period of RCMP service
- You have not previously settled or released your claim through another process
- Your claim falls within the defined categories outlined in the settlement agreement
Family members of deceased eligible claimants may also have standing to file on behalf of their loved one's estate. Each situation is assessed individually, and partial eligibility is possible depending on the nature and documentation of your experience.
